I was shocked to see such an evocative place surrounded by grey and anonymous buildings. In this second photograph of the cemetery there is no room for myths. Architecturally the cemetery is closed.

The Jewish cemetery: the bucolic landscape of the Jewish cemetery in Prague comprises approximately 12,000 graves outwardly visible, where more than 100,000 Jews rest. Although it is a special place for tourists from all around the world, for the Jewish people it is a sanctuary where the most famous Semitic personalities such as Mordecai Meisel, Rabbi Judah Loew, David Gans and David Oppenheim rest in peace.
